Navigating Eco-Anxiety for Historically Underserved Students

67% of Americans say they are somewhat or extremely anxious about the impact of climate change on the planet and 55% are anxious about the impact of climate change on their mental health…

People are literally anxious about their eco-anxiety.

As some of those anxious people, we first created Circularity at UC Berkeley, to serve as a resource for our community, which has over time grown much larger than we could ever have anticipated. Today, Circularity is a multimedia platform providing accessible mental health resources for anyone struggling with eco-anxiety, especially students from historically underserved backgrounds. We work with researchers in the field to create educational resources, meditative reflections, and community events that not only help reduce eco-anxiety symptoms but also empower climate action.

This project is funded by The Green Initiative Fund at UC Berkeley.
